Advanced Family Eye Care was founded in 1979 by Dr. R. Doran Espe, OD. In 2007, Dr. Carrie M.M. Kearns, OD joined the practice and later purchased the practice after Dr. Espe passed away in November 2008. We are committed to our community. In 2001, we were recognized for the high quality service and care we provide by becoming certified “Elder Friendly.” We sponsor The Advanced Family Eye Care scholarship given to a senior at Independence High School every year and promote literacy by contributing to the Summer Reading Programs at the local libraries. In addition, we participate in InfantSEE®, a program that provides no cost eye exams to infants between 6 and 12 months of age.
